Creative Support Alternatives, a San Diego State University Research Foundation project with 25 years experience, provides Supported Living Services, Independent Living Services and related services to adults with disabilities, as well as others who benefit from individualized, person-driven supports, to maximize their full inclusion and participation in all aspects of home and community life.
The Community Support Facilitator, under the supervision of the Director(s) and Community Living Coordinator(s), provides direct support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and in the community. Each position is individualized in order to support the needs and wants of the person receiving services.
The College of Extended Studies, American Language Institute (ALI) provides English language training to international students. Many of these students are preparing to matriculate to American universities, including SDSU. The ALI currently employs approximately 70 full-time and part-time instructors and 20 support staff, and serves approximately 4000 students per year.
The ALI Instructor is responsible for performing a combination of college-level classroom instruction. Must be able to teach a variety of skills and subjects to a variety of English proficiency levels; demonstrate teaching excellence, knowledge of subject matter, and coordination skills.
Ability to teach TOEFL and IELTS preparation, GMAT & GRE preparation, and Mathematics a plus.
The American Language Institute maintains a pool of part-time ESL instructors. Instructors must be in the pool in order to be offered classes. Being assigned to the pool does not guarantee that you will receive an assignment. Please apply if you would like to be considered for the pool.
