The salary range for this position is $6,250 - $7,500 per month ($75,000 - $90,000 per year) depending upon qualifications and is non-negotiable.
KPBS serves the greater San Diego community with informative, cultural, entertaining and educational television, radio, and web programming. KPBS TV/FM is the public television and radio station for San Diego. Licensed to San Diego State University, KPBS supports and furthers the university’s educational and community service mission by informing, enlightening and empowering its audience. It does so not only by presenting national and locally produced programming of value to its San Diego audience, but also by producing programming about San Diego and its people for distribution nationwide.
The KPBS Communications and Marketing Department develops and executes strategic marketing, promotion and communication to KPBS audiences, the public, the press and internal staff about KPBS content, events, activities, audience experience and outreach. The department is responsible for managing the station’s brand via messaging, content, advertising, promotion, creative collateral, and producing public events. The department consists of the Director, Social Media Strategist, Manager of Special Events, Graphic Designer, Special Events Coordinators, Interactive Producer, and Digital Marketing Producer.

The Marketing Manager works to establish a consistent audience experience for KPBS’ brand voice and message across all media channels - digital, broadcast, social media and print.
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing both audience-wide and personalized consumer experiences across digital and traditional channels, including web, social, email, linear radio and TV, streaming, print and events. This position will implement strategies to support audience growth goals, as well as expertise and support to content, membership, on-air fundraising and development fundraising teams.
The position supervises the Digital Marketing Producer and the Interactive Producer, and works closely with the fundraising departments to produce and execute integrated marketing plans to support specific fundraising goals and strategies.
