The salary range for this position is $6,250 - $7,500 per month ($75,000 - $90,000 per year) depending upon qualifications and is non-negotiable.   KPBS serves the greater San Diego community with informative, cultural, entertaining and educational television, radio, and web programming.  KPBS TV/FM is the public television and radio station for San Diego.  Licensed to San Diego State University, KPBS supports and furthers the university’s educational and community service mission by informing, enlightening and empowering its audience.  It does so not only by presenting national and locally produced programming of value to its San Diego audience, but also by producing programming about San Diego and its people for distribution nationwide.   The KPBS Communications and Marketing Department develops and executes strategic marketing, promotion and communication to KPBS audiences, the public, the press and internal staff about KPBS content, events, activities, audience experience and outreach. The department is responsible for managing the station’s brand via messaging, content, advertising, promotion, creative collateral, and producing public events. This Freelance Podcast Editor (Bi-lingual) will play a critical role in helping create compelling stories while maintaining a high degree of journalistic integrity through content editing and script writing. With the passion for storytelling and a commitment to amplifying diverse voices and perspectives, this position will help producers plan and develop story lines and story arcs across episodes and seasons and understand the importance that the podcast content resonates with our diverse audience across the border region. The salary range for this position is $5,373.33 - $7,916.67 per month ($64,479.96 - $95,000 per year) depending upon qualifications and is non-negotiable.      KPBS produces and distributes educational, cultural and informational public television, radio and web programming for the benefit of the San Diego community. KPBS TV/FM and KPBS.ORG also produce programs for regional and national distribution and engage in a number of related, non-broadcast, telecommunications activities.   The Operations and Technology Division of KPBS is responsible for the building and technical facilities of the station(s) used in electronic media production, recording and transmission.
