Creative Support Alternatives, a San Diego State University Research Foundation project for 30 years, provides Supported Living Services, Independent Living Services and related services to adults with developmental disabilities, as well as others who benefit from individualized, person-driven supports, to maximize their full inclusion and participation in all aspects of home and community life.
The Community Support Facilitator, under the supervision of the Director(s) and Community Living Coordinator(s), provides direct support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and in the community. Each position is individualized in order to support the needs and wants of the person receiving services.

Prison Arts Collective (PAC) works to expand access to the transformative power of the arts through collaboration and mutual learning that supports the development of self-expression, reflection, communication, and empathy through providing multidisciplinary arts programming in correctional institutions. PAC currently facilitates weekly multidisciplinary arts programming and art facilitator training programs in 12 prisons throughout California. The mission of the Exceptional Family Resource Center (EFRC) is to provide support, information, and education for children, youth, and adults with disabilities, their families, and the service providers who assist them in San Diego and Imperial Counties. By offering emotional support and reliable information, the Center empowers clients through capacity building to effectively navigate services, community resources, and engage in self-advocacy, with the objective to reach their potential.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Under direct supervision of the Co-Director(s), the Resource Navigator is responsible for providing one-to-one guided support to families of children/adults with disabilities, customized resources and information, and service navigation specific to meet their family' needs, including but not limited to: San Diego Regional Center and/or CA Early Start Point of Entry (CES POE), special education and related services, disability specific, public benefits, and generic services. Additional responsibilities may include coordination and implementation of EFRC program goals, assisting with training, family support and targeted outreach activities, and resource development. Other duties may include preparing reports and providing updates to their immediate supervisor or designated EFRC staff. Other roles include providing support, guidance and resources to the service providers who assist individuals with disabilities and their families.
The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour depending upon qualifications.
Under direction, the incumbent teaches assigned language-and-culture training courses to military personnel. Courses are language proficiency oriented. Proficiency targets are clearly specified per course type and language modality. The Social-Health and Affective Neuroscience Lab conducts research on psychosocial determinants of health with a focus on neurobiological mechanisms linking the two. The position will take place in-person on the campus of San Diego State University as well as the lab located just adjacent to campus.

The Academy Evaluation Services Team provides evaluation support to all Academy programs, including assistance in developing logic models and defining expected outcomes of training and Academy services. In conjunction with Academy programs, they develop evaluation plans, design evaluation tools and electronic data collection systems, analyze data, write reports, and provide feedback to both Academy programs and Academy stakeholders. They also assist programs in using evaluation results to enhance training and services.
NIWC PAC is involved in a variety of research projects to ultimately support the U.S warfighter. One particular area of interest is environmental modeling within naval environments. Being able to sense hazards within the marine or aquatic environments allows personnel to assess risks and respond appropriately. NIWC Pacific along with collaborators are currently developing tools to predict potential hazards within the Santa Margarita Estuary located on (MCBCP) and Puget Sound (Naval Station Bremerton). The student will primarily be involved in retrieving, formatting, and reviewing input datasets. The student shall also participate in planning meetings and conference calls with project collaborators. No human or animal testing is expected with this effort.
This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of a college student to provide environmental modeling and analytical support for water contaminant research at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Center, Pacific (NIWC PAC). This work shall require a combined use of mathematical knowledge/skills, numerical modeling/simulation, and input data formatting and processing. The purpose of this task is to update existing hydrodynamic models and assess fate transport of contaminants under a variety of scenarios at Navy ports of interest.

The San Diego State University (SDSU) Talent Search Program is an educational opportunity program housed within the Institute for Transformative Education (ITE). Through excellence and innovation in education, ITE supports students to discover and develop their personal, educational, and career goals through multicultural mentorship and guidance. Talent Search is funded by the Department of Education to assist low-income, first-generation, culturally diverse high school students as they prepare for postsecondary education.
The Talent Search program has an opening for two part-time advisors (20 hours a week), located at our participating high schools. This position will require in-person work at least two days a week at two different school sites in San Diego, with the option to complete some meetings and job tasks remotely. The position is ideal for candidates currently in graduate school for education or school counseling, or recent college graduates considering a career in school counseling, teaching, or social work. Selected candidates will receive ongoing training from staff experienced in college guidance and student support, as well as professional development grounded in relevant theories, practices, and methods.
Under the supervision of the Director, Office of Community Engagement, the advisor will assist in the implementation of a comprehensive program to ensure the effective delivery of educational support services to low-income and/or potential first-generation college-bound high school students.
Incumbents must have a beginning knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of student outreach services and six months experience in working with diverse cultural groups. The incumbent must demonstrate a beginning knowledge of group and individual behavior, individual counseling techniques, and socio-cultural issues inherent to ethnic diversity. The position involves advising for college access at Talent Search approved schools by providing assistance in completing college applications for admission, financial aid, housing, and special programs. Under the direction of the Area Supervisor and Registered Dietitian Supervisor, the WIC Nutrition Services Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of clerical duties in support of WIC program operations; provides customer service to program participants and applicants; educating participants on non-nutrition issues such as program orientation, including the use of food benefits and determines eligibility of WIC participants. This position travels to other WIC Offices in the San Diego region as needed. This position (will) include training for eligibility to become a certified California WIC Nutrition Assistant (WNA).
