  • Overview

    The purpose of this task is to provide analytical and technical support services from college students majoring in Computer Science, Engineering and 3D Modelers/ Artists to assist with the Battlespace Exploitation of Mixed Reality (BEMR) Lab. This project looks to explore and develop mixed reality solutions using low-cost, commercial- off-the-shelf (COTS), gaming and cell phone technology. The goal for this project is to evaluate, integrate and exploit commercial Mixed Reality (MxR) technology to the battlespace in order to increase and broaden the United States warfighter’s asymmetric advantage. 


    The contractor shall assist the work sponsor in: 

    • Reviewing, evaluating and determining how mixed reality has been employed for Command and Control and research gaps within the area. 
    • Designing, exercising and/or testing interaction between the operator and the synthetic environment. 
    • Programming design changes into virtual reality and evaluating those changes for code consistency. 
      • Writing, testing and documenting code. 
      • Performing programming functions. 
    •  Developing and maintaining 3D Model and project code database.


    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Undergrad Level 3 (Senior): Computer Science, Engineering, (Focus on Game Design, Game Art (3D Models) or equivalent major.
    • Class or Experience: Developing and researching virtual/augmented reality applications and/or 3D Design. 

    Desired Qualifications

    1. Unity, C#, Java, 3D CAD Design software experience
    2. Computer scientist, engineer and/or 3D design students preferred.
    3. Programming and human factors/ human-machine interface skills.
