The Payne School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is seeking a development professional to take the lead in building a philanthropic enterprise for the School.

Approaching our 20th year as a program/school at SDSU, we are looking for an enthusiastic and engaged development professional to assist in the building of a comprehensive pipeline fundraising program.   Duties include collaborating with HTM leadership on the development of programs and strategies to create a growing and sustainable pipeline of philanthropic support for the School; leading and managing the development program; identifying funding sources and priorities; preparing written and oral presentations to potential donors; developing gift opportunities; briefing and staffing senior leadership and College development partners for development meetings and events; and cultivating and soliciting gift prospects.

The position is perfect for someone looking for job flexibility (position is 20 hours per week), while creating a strong donor pipeline model.  Primary responsibilities include creating and carrying out a development strategy, including donor cultivation, retention and support, in partnership with the School Director.  2020 will mark the 20th anniversary of the HTM program, and a mini-campaign around that milestone will be a key project. The selected candidate should have a history of strategic solicitations with an emphasis on building long term donor centric relationships.
