The mission of SDSU DUI Program (DUIP) is to provide superior education and counseling services to reduce the incidence and prevalence of driving under the influence and enhance the quality of life of our community members in a safe, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed environment. Community members are provided an opportunity to explore their relationship with substance use and develop an understanding of the interplay between physical health, mental health, and trauma, with alcohol and drug use and related adverse consequences.
Under the direct supervision of the office supervisor, the Administrative Support Assistant is responsible for performing general office support duties in accordance with the State of California, San Diego State University, and San Diego County DUIP rules and guidelines.

The Admin Support Assistant is responsible for but not limited to:
CLERICAL SUPPORT 95%
Receives active and prospective clients over the counter, answers questions, reschedule client for services as needed, schedules appointments, answers multi-phone lines and takes messages, impart accurate information about the DUIP policies and procedures and refers clients to appropriate staff members for services. Conducts Intake Interviews and prepares appropriate contract; documents pertinent information in case files for case management. Performs duties as necessary in relation to pre and post orientation and enrollment of new clients; records education attendance. Collects and process the appropriate customer transactions using Microsoft Access register system; performs open/close register functions and drop deposits.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED 5%
Attends staff meetings and training as required
