  • Overview

    This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of college students to provide analytical and technical support services in the field of computer science or computer engineering for the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) Engineering Project, Common Message Format (CMF) Analysis Tool and CMF Viewer. The goal is to develop, improve and test new software for the IBS Executive Agent.

     

    The Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) Executive Agent (USAF/A2) has tasked the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) to deliver updates to the SSC-developed CMF Analysis Tool (CAT) and CMF Data Element Dictionary Viewer Tool (CMFV), and perform associated CMF data file updates and CMF development working group support. The delivered products will optimize IBS system development and testing efforts, support the transition from legacy broadcast formats to CMF, and will help reduce future CMF testing and implementation costs. Any EIT delivered under this task order will incorporate the applicable EIT Section 508 Accessibility Standards (36 CFR Part 1194).

    Responsibilities

    The contractor shall assist the work sponsor in:

     

    Software Development:

    • Developing Java software to include GUIs, databases and software modules.
    • Creating or upgrading websites and/or web pages and graphics, including Cascading Style Sheets markup.
    • Creating or upgrading XML stylesheets, to provide message data review and analysis capabilities.
    • Integrating COTS and GOTS SDK modules into software applications.

    Test Engineering:

    • Developing software test plans.
    • Creating automated software test Scripts.
    • Running software test scripts.
    • Documenting software test results, procedures, and test cases.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications: 

     

    Undergraduate Level 3: Computer Science (Software Development) or Computer Engineering major (Senior).

    Required Course Work –All student labor levels shall include: 

    • JAVA;
    • C++;
    • Extensible Markup Language (XML);
    • Webpage development (HTML/CSS);

     Additional Qualifications desired: 

    • Web Server Development;
    • Databases;
    • Microsoft Office Tools; and/or Wikis.

     

    This position will require the employee to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

    Due to the regulations established by the Department of Defense, only US Citizens may qualify
    This is a student position and is limited to working 20 hours per week
