This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of a college student to provide technical and/or analytical support in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering for the Cybersecurity Branch. The purpose of this project is to assist the Cyber Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Program Manager (PM) with new and evolving CSWF requirements, as outlined in SECNAV M-5239.2.
Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific (SSC PAC) has been actively engaged in shaping the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Cyber IT/CSWF Model to optimize training for required personnel, while minimizing unnecessary training time and associated costs. The contractor shall assist SSC PAC in determining CSWF Specialty areas and proficiency levels based on occupational standards and assigned duties. This shall facilitate the proper coding of SSC PAC personnel within the Cyber IT/CSWF model. The contractor shall also assist in the conversion and implementation of a new CSWF database, which houses multiple types of credentials for over 2000 CSWF members.
Undergraduate Level 2: Computer Science or Information Systems major (Junior or Senior).
Required Course Work:
The contractor shall have a basic understanding of operating systems, such as Windows, Unix/Linux and Apple, as well as knowledge of cyber-related IT and commercial certifications.
Additional Qualifications desired:
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate policy in a clear and concise manner. Desire student has knowledge with working on/in enclaves, servers and clients.
This position will require the employee to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Due to the regulations established by the Department of Defense, only US Citizens may qualify
This is a student position and is limited to working 20 hours per week
