    This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of a college student(s) to provide technical and/or analytical support in the field of Computer Science/Information Systems, and Electrical Engineer/Computer Engineering for the Naval Command and Intelligence (C&I) project. The purpose of this task is to provide support in the areas of knowledge management and the full software lifecycle to the Department of Defense (DOD).


    The C&I IPT is responsible providing full life cycle software and engineering support to a variety of customers. 


    • Assist in the investigation, analysis, and evaluation of technology to include, open source software, vendor products, academia and industry research, and Government software and systems.
    • Installing and integrating software applications and hardware components. Resolving workstation hardware and software challenges.
    • Perform software cycle support to include requirements, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and documentation.
    • Produce reports on industry trends to include software and systems methodologies, security systems, and future technologies.
    • Manage subject matter expertise and processes using industry standard content management system.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Undergraduate Level 2:


    Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering major (Junior or Senior).


    Required Qualifications:


    • Proficient with a business productivity suite e.g. MS Office.
    • Basic working knowledge of a software development process.
    • Working knowledge of computer hardware.
    • Working knowledge of the Windows (i.e. Win 10, Win 7) and or Unix Operating Systems.
    • Required Course Work:
    • Introduction to Computer Programing or Computer Engineering or Principles of Information Systems (or an equivalent course).

    Desired Qualifications:


    • Basic working knowledge of computer and networking protocols and communications theory and applications.
    • Working knowledge of web design.
    • Basic working knowledge of document repositories to include Atlassian confluence.
    • Basic working knowledge of task management systems to include Atlassian JIRA.
    • Basic working knowledge of server client hardware and operating systems architecture.
    • Ability to develop comparison decision analysis documentation based on vendor related hardware and software.
    • Working knowledge of at least one programming language and demonstrates the ability to develop and compile source code.


    This position will require the employee to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

    Due to the regulations established by the Department of Defense, only US Citizens may qualify
    This is a student position and is limited to working 20 hours per week
