This is an academic appointment intended to cover student employees who are currently enrolled at San Diego State University.  This position is a half-time appointment, paid hourly for hours worked not to exceed 20-hours per week.



  • Asssit in preparing and processing financial transactions
  • Assist in event preparation, event staffing, and with social media.
  • Must be familiar with social media sites, event planning, and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • The ideal candidate for this position is someone highly motivated and energetic, eager to learn about business operations, social media and the media/non-profit industry, and be dependable.


Students must be currently enrolled as a student at SDSU. Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 units and be in good academic standing; Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 5 graduate weighted units and be in good academic standing. 


Knowledge & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge and abilities required vary based on the particular area, speciality, expertise and the skills needed to achieve objectives
  • Must know MS office with emphasis in Excel and Word

Minimum Education:

  • Education is based on the particular knowledge, ability or expertise needed
  • Must be a current SDSU student

Minimum Experience:

  • Experience focusing on the particular area or speciality for which the service is required

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with SDSU Research Foundation
