Under the leadership of the Vice-President for Research, the public affairs/communications specialist will use world-class services and technologies to enhance SDSU’s mission as a student-centered, research-focused, service-oriented public university. The specialist position is a temporary two-year pilot program with possibility of extension.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field
• Two years of related professional or technical experience writing compelling content for a variety of on-line and print publications
• Previous experience working in a higher education setting
• Previous experience in Communications or Journalism
