SDSU Research Foundation is seeking an accomplished programmer/analyst with Java user-interface experience.  The position offers a high degree of system ownership and immediate user feedback. Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the primary responsibilities of the Oracle Developer are the support, development and modernization of SDSU Research Foundation's Oracle-based business applications.  Consulting with department representatives and analysts, develop custom forms, reports and workflows supporting business processes across the organization using a variety of technical skills, including Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Application Express (APEX) and Java programming skills.

 

  • Create and maintain Java-based framework applications (SOA, Morphis Foundations)
  • Develop PL/SQL objects within an Oracle Database
  • Work with business analysts to design, test and deploy user-centric applications(software development lifecycle)
  • Provide quality end-user support
  • Serve as subject matter expert

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years professional experience in Java Object Oriented programming
  • 2+ years of development experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL (stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, tables, views, indexes)
  • Experience with an enterprise accounting/HR systems (ERP)
  • 1+ year professional experience with Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Preferred experience:

  • Java/J2EE, Eclipse IDE, Groovy/Grails
  • Ellucian Banner (ERP)
  • Oracle Application Express (APEX)
  • Jasper, Oracle Reports, or other enterprise reporting tool
  • HTML5, XML, XSL, web services and SOA
  • GIT
