The hourly rate for this position is $17.75 for Undergraduate I and $19.67 for Undergraduate III and is non-negotiable.

Under direction, incumbents must have course work in the discipline requested on the task order Statement of Work.
This Statement of Work encompasses the need for the student services to provide technical and/or analytical support in the fields of Marine Biology, Oceanography, Biology, Engineering, and Chemistry towards the evaluation of PFAS compounds to biological endpoints. This information is critical to understand the ecological risk posed by these chemicals.
Per- and polyfluorinated alkylated substances (PFAS) are a group of chemicals that have impacted groundwater and surface waters at Department of Navy sites. As such, there is a need to better understand the ecological risk associated with these chemicals. This research aims to fill in data gaps in the PFAS ecotoxicological data to improve ecological risk.
The student contractor shall provide analytical and technical support in the following areas, as specified under individual task orders, to the work sponsor:
Undergraduate I: The student must be at the First Year or Sophomore level, have understanding of the discipline and theories, but can be without work experience. This level is expected to need training and supervision. Is not required to be an SDSU Student.
Undergraduate Student III: Must have course work in the discipline requested on the task order Statement of Work. The student must be at the Senior level and have experience in 100% of the task requirements and be able to accomplish 90% of the work independently. Is not required to be an SDSU Student.
