The hourly rate for this position is $19.28 for Undergraduate III and $22.39 for Graduate I and is non-negotiable.

Under direction, incumbents must have course work in the discipline requested on the task order Statement of Work.
This Statement of Work covers the need for student services to support the development of software and computer-based solutions for basic research and engineering challenges. For this project, the student will aid in developing a Human Machine Interface that will allow for better controls of an Autonomous Ground Vehicle. For this effort, the student will need extract data from ROS messages to display vehicle position, battery consumption, heading, and video feeds. The ideal candidate would have some experience in front end web development using the Angular framework. The student will work closely with a senior developer, learning software best practices including versioning, use of repositories, and interoperability. By the end of this internship, the student should be able to successfully demonstrate the ability to display the characteristics of the ground vehicle in the interface and enact alterations to its function, such as assigning new waypoints, altering speed, injecting contextual data, and more!
This project aims to research and development intelligent agent solutions for unmanned vehicles expeditionary missions. As part of this project, our team will be working closely to academia partners to develop solutions that will meet user expectations by solving the pain points identified during user research. For this project you will be working on a diverse team of scientists including UX Designers, Human Factors Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Computer Scientists. Moreover, our team is working directly with the user group and student contractor will be mentored by the different disciplines on the team.
The student contractor shall provide analytical and technical support in the following areas, as specified under individual task orders, to the work sponsor:
Graduate Student 1: Must have a Bachelor's degree in the required discipline and be enrolled in a Master's degree program. Must be able to accomplish a minimum of 50% of the task without supervision.
