This position is budgeted for $29.28 per hour and is non-negotiable.

The School of Nursing is part of the SDSU College of Health and Human Services. It is one of five schools, the School of Nursing, the Graduate School of Public Health, the School of Social Work, the School of Exercise and Nutrition, and the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences.
The School of Nursing has both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and trains future nurses in conjunction with a wide variety of community health care agencies who provide student placement for educational experiences and training purposes.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Director, School of Nursing and the College of Health and Human Services Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the incumbent will provide high quality, accessible and consistent advising services to High School students interested in pursuing a degree in nursing. The incumbent will advise and support students in the college application process, the financial aid application process and financial aid availability. He or she will work with students to complete financial aid forms (including the FAFSA) as well as college applications. The incumbent will meet with 9th - 12th grade students to monitor coursework for A-G requirements, discuss and support college application process, and engage in goal setting and planning for college admissions.
The person holding this position is considered a “Mandated Reporter” under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in the CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
