Overview

The salary range for this position is $16.85 – $23.64 hour depending upon qualifications and is non-negotiable. 

 

Under immediate supervision, the ASAI performs general office support work of moderate and routine difficulty. Assignments are narrow in scope and may involve completing a component of a project; may assist in training new staff members; detailed instructions are given with a progression to an occasional review as more independence is achieved; assignments involve limited use of discretion, judgment and innovation. Policies and procedures are regularly referenced and applied.

This is an entry-level position clerical position involving basic knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practices. Fundamental written and oral communication, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to effectively communicate standard information; ability to understand office procedures, operate standard office equipment, learn technology systems, perform basic mathematical calculations, and type. Respond to routine inquiries and explain standard policies/procedures to others. Accountability is usually limited to own work assignments.

 

 

Responsibilities

The Admin Support Assistant is responsible for but not limited to:


CLERICAL SUPPORT 95%

  • Receives active and prospective clients over the counter
  • Answers questions
  • Reschedule clients for services as needed
  • Schedules appointments
  • Answers multi-phone lines and takes messages
  • Impart accurate information about the DUIP policies and procedures and refers clients to appropriate staff members for services
  • Conducts Intake Interviews and prepares appropriate contract; documents pertinent information in case files for case management
  • Performs duties as necessary in relation to pre and post orientation and enrollment of new clients; records education attendance
  • Collects and process the appropriate customer transactions using Microsoft Access register system; performs open/close register functions and drop deposits

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES AS ASSIGNED 5

  • Attends staff meetings and training as required

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an office or administrative environment

PREFERED QUALIFICATONS

  • One or more years in an office environment
  • Previous experience using Word, Excel and basic computer programs
  • Previous experience working in a DUIP Program
  • Previous cash handling and cashiering experience
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish
