Overview

The salary range for this position is $19.26 - $30 per hour depending upon qualifciations and is non-neogotiatable.

 

The James Silberrad Brown Center for Artificial Intelligence engages in a wide range of theoretical and experimental research. It has been a center of excellence for artificial intelligence research, teaching, theory, and practice. We engage in research in the topics of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality, robotics, machine learning, human-robot interaction, and spatial computing. It supports and encourages interdisciplinary collaborations, among students and professors. Our undergraduate and graduate students study a wide range of studies; from computer science, information systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, and marketing. Our faculty engages in partnerships with industry and government partners; such as the Navy and Department of Homeland Security.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities (95%)

  • Grant Proposal Writing: Collaborate with our research teams to develop compelling and comprehensive grant proposals for various funding opportunities. Articulate the center's mission, objectives, and research initiatives to secure financial support for ongoing and future projects.
  • Donor Relations Communications: Engage with current and potential donors through written communications, expressing gratitude for their contributions, and providing updates on the center's progress. Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to foster continued support.
  • Newsletters: Create informative and engaging newsletters that highlight the center's latest achievements, research breakthroughs, events, and future plans. Tailor the content to suit different audiences, such as academic partners, donors, and the general public.
  • Social Media Posts: Develop captivating social media content to promote the center's activities and research outcomes. Utilize various platforms to increase the center's visibility and engage with a wide audience, including researchers, technologists, industry professionals, and the public.
  • Publication Writing: Collaborate with researchers to produce high-quality scientific publications, whitepapers, and technical reports. Ensure adherence to academic standards, clarity of ideas, and precision in communicating research findings. Including adherence to citation styles (APA, MLA, etc.).
  • Research Documentation: Work closely with our research teams to document experiments, methodologies, and results accurately. Translate technical jargon into accessible language for both internal and external audiences.
  • Marketing Materials: Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and press releases. Help in promoting the center's achievements and its unique contributions to the field of artificial intelligence.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive repository of technical documentation, ensuring easy access to research findings and relevant resources for the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Two-years of related professional or technical experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or working towards a master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field; past experience in technical or grant proposal writing & publications in technology; Excellent written & verbal communication skills, & ability to explain complex topics in a clear & concise manner.
