This is a temporary position, through December 31, 2020. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a hybrid position that is partially (virtual) telework with some in-person assignments at our administrative office in Kerny Mesa. This assignment will transition back to an in-office environment as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
The SDSU Research Foundation WIC Program is the largest WIC agency in San Diego County, with approximately 80 employees providing a variety of nutrition services to over 26,000 participants monthly.
Under the direction of the Associate Director, IT and Facilities, the WIC Student Help Desk/Technical Support is responsible for providing a variety of technical duties in support of WIC program operations. The position will work directly with staff to support their computer hardware, software and networking requirements. This position may also assist in other operations projects.
The WIC Student Technical Support is responsible for but not limited to:
Technical Support 70%
Provide support by answering phone calls and e-mails to assist users with computer related issues related to resetting passwords, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Networking and Security, and WIC WISE. Assist Associate Director, IT and Facilities, with supporting workstations, servers, networking and mobile devices. Provide support to agency website, social media and intranet.
Operations Support 20%
Assist with various operational needs such as inventory of WIC supplies.
Other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned 10%
Participates in special projects, staff meetings and trainings as needed.
